Spend Tuesday Nights at the Ballpark
During the 2009 Salem Red Sox season, you will be able to save money, help people, and recycle (all at the same time) by donating to Goodwill before each Tuesday night home game. A Goodwill truck will be at Lewis-Gale Medical Center Field at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium from 5:45pm - 7:30pm. Stop by with your donation and you will receive a coupon for buy one, get one free tickets to the game (you may also print coupon by clicking here). Goodwill kept over 10 million pounds of material out of area landfills last year. By recycling the gently used clothing, household items, and computers you no longer need at Goodwill you are helping the environment and putting people to work at the same time. So remember each Tuesday night to Go Green, Save Green with Goodwill and the Salem Red Sox.
Tuesday Game Night Recycling
Each Tuesday night home game Goodwill will focus collections on different items to raise awareness of how we can recycle in our community. We will however gladly accept any gently used clothing, household goods, and computers at all games. Collection themes will be:
August 4th - Gently used clothing. Have you cleaned out your closets and have piles that you don't wear, don't fit, or just aren't right? Bring them to the game and Go Green, Save Green!
August 18th - Children's clothing, toys, and games. Back to school is around the corner. Have you tried on all of their clothes to see what fits and what doesn't? Bring the items that no longer fit to the game and help Goodwill put your neighbors back to work.
August 25th - Small home appliances and electronics. Do you have an old toaster, cd player, or microwave that is just gathering dust? Your small home appliances will help put people back to work. Recycle at Goodwill.
